On Sunday September 26, 2010 we went to a local church for their last cruise of the season. We headed out without the Cruisin' News and the address. After figuring out we were on the wrong street we headed in the right direction. We anticipated a small cruise, maybe 30 or 40 cars. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised when we pulled into the church parking lot. There had to be over 100 cars, many of which we hadn't seen before. After registering we found out that with the $15.00 registration fee you received a free steak dinner. On top of that they gave away a lot, and I mean a lot of door prizes, at least 3 or 4 prizes every 5 minutes. We met a lot of nice people and saw many beautiful cars. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

This was the first year that we actually made the trek up to Frankenmuth, Michigan for the Autofest. And we are glad that we did.

After navigating a huge hill, we made it to the entrance behind the Bavarian Inn. We had planned to meet up with some of the members from Chevelle.forum.net. After wandering around for a while, we decided to eat lunch and make a call to find out long lost friends. Come to find out, when we walked in the entrance, we walked right past them.

After finding them we spent some time just admiring all the beautiful cars that the Frankenmuth show had to offer.

Sunday, August 29, 2010, the Chevelle Club of Michigan held their annual Classic Car Show in the city of Wayne Michigan. I had just recently joined the club and got my car sticker and a flyer telling me about the show. I decided to go. When I arrived at the show the check-in process was fast and organized. As I drove down the street to park, many of the people were saying "cool car", "hello", "glad your here", the people were very welcoming. After I parked the club president Chuck, came right up to me and remembered a conversation that I had with him on the phone about 2 weeks ago. The club did a wonderful job lining the street with many beautiful cars. They welcomed any and all cars, and ended up with more than 80 beauties lining the street. They gave away a lot of door prizes, I wouldn't be surprised if everyone got one. At the awards ceremony they gave away at least 3 trophys in each of the 6 or 7 classes. What a great group of people. Thanks for the great day !

Detroit Dragway Reunion at Milan Dragway. May 23, 2010.

I have recently found out about a local cruise that has just started up. It is at a place called Coney Cravers All American Diner. The Diner is located on the south bound service drive of I-75, just south of 9 mile road. Good food, good friends and had a good time.
