A Man Paid $70,000 to Store a Corvette He Stole for 23 Years, Then Confessed

Could have purchase one

[SS Shaun]

Wow what a story! Sold for 39k not bad

[Derek69SS]

what a dumbass... I know criminals aren't typically very smart, but this guy could have dumped the car and walked away years ago and nobody would have ever known.

[flash]

How crazy is that ?

[earthquake68]

Or, ...build a garage for $2K and NOT pay storage fees. He could've parted it out little by little. He could've sold it for cheap to a chop shop. etc. So many avenues could've been taken here. This guy was just dumb.

[Ms Grumpy]

That was a crazy story. If he had only stole a really desirable year that story would have been so much better...but a 1989 ? lol :)

[flash]

Thieves are rarely smart.

[shadowgray396]

Thieves are rarely smart.

Amen to that

[Hank70SS]

You can't cure stupid.

[carpoor]

Not that it is any better, but I am glad he stole it from a dealership vs. from a working class guy who spent his heard-earned cash.
