What, if any, decals or stickers were put on at the factory under the hood on my 69 SS?
I have the open element air filter and no air. It is a KC car.
Thank you,
Randy

Randy, I'm going to move the post to restoration forum and may sure Ray Barnes sees it. He has a pretty original 69, no AC, but the closed element air cleaner. I'm sure he tell you what should be there.

No trouble Randy, just trying to make sure it gets seen so you get an answer. I did call Ray to make sure he takes a look at it, left a message. He must be busy at work because I haven't heard back from him.

Randy, these are supposed to be from a "survivor" 69SS L78

This one here claims to be a survivor too, and has a sticker on the AC comperssor too. Different intake, but same stickers on the air cleaner I think. I wonder if there were any others that aren't pictured here, like on the shroud or something. http://www.autabuy.com/Gallery/?ID=366731&ShowAdSense=1&K=1969%20CHEVROLET%20CHEVELLE%20SS396
For the heck of it, I was looking at a few restoration parts stores, and there are a few other decals, "keep your GM..." and a "REAR" sticker for the air cleaner housing, etc.

Thanks a lot for the info so far guys. I love this site. It is so much friendlier than what I'm used to.

Randy, there is at least one on the rad top plate, maybe two but I'm not positive about that.

Hey guys, sorry late to the party. There is one more decal/label that goes on the front drivers side corner of the radiator top panel. It has the tune specs for your specific engine.
