Hi, Sorry I didn't see this message. You can use smallblock engine mounts on the big block. It is important to have the engine portion of the mounts match the car mounting side of them. The driveshaft might have to be cut down or at least have the yoke changed to a 32 spline short slip yoke. The emergency brake intermediate cable will also have to be changed to the TH400 style. Other than that you will need to move the crossmember back more on the frame but the holes should be there for it.

    Hi,
I'm new to this site and not quite sure how it works yet. I saw your car and thought you may be able to help me.
I have a 69 Chevell SS (my dream car) that needs the 454 and a 400TB put in. The motor mounts are still attached to the motor. My husband says he would put rocker mounts on it instead. I guess my question is what is the easiest way to put this motor in?
Also will I need to change the driveshaft? We think it had a turbo 350 before.
    Thank you for your time!!
