Very Nice, Dave! Since I'm not a skilled mechanic and don't have all the necessary machinery, I had one built a couple years ago. It's incredible when it comes to life for the first time! Sends chills up your back.

Good luck with it!!

Sounds cool Dave!

Just wondering... have you thought about going to 275/50x15 drag radials?

With my 3.90 gears I run 255/70x15 on the street(29" tall) and 275/50x15 drag radials (approx. 26" tall) at the track to get my effective gearing a little lower.

Decided to go with a vac secondary carb so I bit the bullet and ordered one today. Got the Holley 770 alum street avenger. Hoping it will keep things more streetable then the dbl pumper.

Also picking up a 6AL2 box. Cannot wait to hear it run :)

Man I cannot wait to hear this motor fire up for the first time in close to a year. Be nice not to foul plugs left and right to. The old dbl pumper hated the street.

I considered getting the air gap manifold but think the Dart should do fine.

Very respectable build Dave. I'll bet you're gonna LOVE it.

I am planning to use 275 drag radials for the track and 18's, still undecided what size yet, for the street.

Very cool combo!

I wanted to come check this out again, to see if it was the engine going in the '72. Yup.

That ought to make some great power. Those pistons must be domes to be able to run those heads and that cam together. With the rest of the drivetrain matched up and the car ready to squat and go, you'll be giving some bbc's a lesson or two.:p

Got to hear her fire up today. Man it sounds sweet. Cannot wait to get behind the wheel !
