Helped a friend of mine today on my day off. 1966 Fairlane, factory 390 4 speed car. One of the straightest, minimal rust bodies I have ever seen in a 66'-67' Fairlane/Cyclone. It needed a small patch behind the passenger rear tire, we installed that panel first. Then made a piece for the lower rear corner. Started running out of time, but still managed to get the front floor pan and toe pan tacked in.

Those are my favorite year Fairlanes .

When I was cutting out one of the rusty floor sections yesterday, I had a grinding disc come apart and grab a hold of me. Hit me mostly in the ribs.
First picture is yesterday afternoon, second is this evening. It's more like a burn than a cut. |
Damn ,that looks painful.

It stings a little...

Wow that sux. I can't say I haven't gone something real similar tho.
|
Ouch. Glad its not worse.

Round two tomorrow, hoping to get the rest of the floor in and at least tacked into place. Then I told him not to call me until he is ready to block sand it. :D

Got it knocked out today and no new injuries. I left it at a point where he can easily take it from here.
