1971 side door mirrors- mounting brackets
I recently purchased replacement mirrors for my 71 from OPG. They are the "manual" type to replace the ones I currently have which are not original and look to be replacements from some time ago. When I removed the mirrors and went to install the new mirrors, the new mounting plate screw holes do not line up with the factor holes in my door. From calling around, I understand everyone who sells these replacement mirrors gets them from the same place overseas. I wonder why there are two different size mounting plates. Has anyone encountered this?
