The pictures don't really show the rims very well. I'm not a fan of the jacked up look I like mine tucked.

I agree on the jacked up look, i want to lower to sit level
|
Pictures are to small to really tell. Might want to start an ablum here and post from it.

Lowered rear end 1 1/2 inches !
|
I like those wheels and it looks much better lower .
|
What are the weight of those wheels? One thing I am really researching is weight savings I can do without really sacrificing any driveability etc.
|
Im not sure of the weight of them, i looked back when i purchased them and found everthing about them but weight, sorry but when i take off again ill check and post

I like bigger tires. The wheels look good but there's too much room around the tire in the wheel well. My favorite tire size combo on a bone stock '68-'72 Chevelle is 275/60R15 in the back and 225/70R15 in the front. The height is the same front to rear, just the front tire is narrower.

Like the looks of that stance and tires earthquake68. Maybe I need to change my 70 series rears for 60 series. Also using 225/70/15's up front on 7'' ralley wheels. 8'' ralley wheels on rear, disc brake center caps on all four.

What size are the rims?

Currently running 225/70/15's on 15x7 ralleys up front and 255/70/15's on
15x8 Vette (AZ) ralleys on the back, Cooper Cobra GTs. Seriously thinking of replacing the rears with 60 series as have a rubbing/sidewall issue on the right side. Body bushings maybe? Was told rear coil springs had been replaced prior to me buying the car but can't verify that. Pics aren't the best but was cloudy and overcast all day. About 30 minutes after I took the pictures it started raining but by then I'd moved the Chevelle back in the shop. |
Very nice ,love the color .

Nice looking 71 you have

Thanks flash, code # 26 Mulsanne Blue with code # 725 Dark Blue interior. Swapped out bench seat and column shift for factory styled buckets, console with the horse shoe floor shifter, ShiftWorks indicator and a "built" 700R4 automatic, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and Edelbrock 1406 600cfm carb. Just bought new OPG carpet, sound deadener and pad with after market new door sill plates. Coming along but just like the truck, slower than I like and not cheap, LOL.
|
Thanks also to you shadow. If the Chevelle was not the Mulsanne Blue think I would have liked the Nevada Silver w/ black ralley stripes and a charcoal gray interior with black carpet. Guess they are also called "band aid" stripes. Like the "ralley stripes" name much better, LOL.
