What size tires and wheels do you have?

I was just wondering if most people on this site have larger tires on the rear then on the front. I was planning on staying with the same size tires all the way around (15X7 R215) so I could rotate them. But I was thinking the extra traction on the rear might come in handy since I'm lighter on the rear and with the deep 1st gear in the 700R4 and 375's traction might be a problem. What setup do you have on your car, and does having larger tires on the rear help?

I have 225R70-15s on the front and 255R70-15s on the rear. I want to go bigger on the rear but I only have 7" wheels and I haven't dcided on what wheels I want.

First off, I don't have anything to do with this site. I found it when looking for fitment for my Belair. After you go through vehicle selection you can then choose diameter if you want. Then they show available wheels/tire combos that they guarantee will fit. I used this to select diameter/width/offset to have some steel wheels made and also to select a tire size. I did double check with the tire mfg site to verify rim size and cross section and measured my car SEVERAL times. Pretty handy site.

Currently I am running staggered tire sizes on 15x7" wheels:

Rear: 255/60/15
Front: 205/70/15

When I replace the front tires, I will probably get some 225s or 235s, not sure of the aspect ratio though.

Right now I have 275-60-15 on the rear and 225 -70-15 on the front of The Black Car.

Hope this does not offend anyone.:)

Well the 66 has the pizza cutter 7.75-14's and the 69 has 235 70-15's

Front 235-60-14 Rear 245-60-14 on original SS wheels.

235/45/17s in front and 255/45/17s in rear... went with the biggest I could fit on these wheels.

These cars see so few miles, is rotating really necessary? When I had 15s, I had them staggered too (235/60 and 255/60) which I think looked much better. I did wear out the rears faster than the fronts for some reason though... :o

I have a set of 245/60x14 on stock SS wheels. I also have 2 275/60x15 on 8" after market wheels, look just the stock SS wheels. Sometimes I throw them on the back, sometimes I run all 4 stock wheels. I have an M20 with a 3.73 posi rear. The 14" tires on the rear are worthless for traction but look good. The 275 TA's definitely up the traction level. The 14s will spin all day, the wider 15s really hook.

I really need another pair of 15" rims though. The rear sits a lot higher when I run the 15s on the rear with 14s on the front, to much difference in the diameter of the tires.

Fronts are 255 60 R15 and Rub in very rare instances
Rears are 275 60 R15 no problems there
