You might want to look into a #1942 frame for a el Camino/station wagon.. They are massive.. You would have to trim the rear rails though..
When I bought my 69 el Camino I noticed how much better it handled and felt compared to the other GM A body's I've driven. When I put it up on a lift I saw why..
I have about $2500 into the SC&C stage 3 front end, Lee box with Spohn rear spherical control arms and it handles and rides well..
