Well things happened and the painter is running behind. Looking like Monday afternoon till I can pick it up. SO I figured I would get things ready. The heater/ evaporator boxes need to be cleaned, detailed, repaired before installation. Everything looks pretty decent and should go back together fine.
I need to figure out a couple things. First how do you get to the heater core? Everything's apart and there seems to still be a thin sheet metal plate covering it (pic1). Should that be removed to gain access to it? What do I use to seal the evaporator box back together (pic4)? Whats wrapped around the evap tubes to seal them? Also there is a small vacuum part that has a arm that is broken but I am not sure what it goes to (pic2)? And a vacuum tube that needs a home9pic3). My dash vent louvers are not attached to each other and I think they will need to be replaced(pic5 last). Are they repairable or do they just get replaced ? See photos

Man am I disapointed. It looks very much like it did when I brought it to him. Only noticable difference is that the trunk and door jams are painted. He did get the roof looking real nce but still has some minor pin holes etc. He also did a tight coat of mud and primed the quarters again.
I need to get in the shop this evening and start on getting the body mounts, fuel lines, brake lines, motor, trans, brake booster, heater box etc installed.

Well it begins. Started on the bushing, fuel&brake line replacement. I realized I did not order the fuel lines. It seema there is a line that runs on the left side with the brake line and then theres one that runs up the right side of the body. Are there fuel lines on both sides?

Got the line ordered. I didnt replace the vapor line on the left side. All the lines are in great shape any way. But new ones will look great(who will see) and be un contaminated. I am wondering if I should get a new charcoal canister (are they available still?) to run the vapor line to? Or if not, should the end of the vent tube be bent to face down to prevent water/debris from entering, and leave it like that?
When I got the rear brakes apart I noticed that the flat bar with double fork type ends(one with a spring over it) was missing from the left side. Would there be one in the parts I removed from the front disc conversion? I have the complete front drums set ups still. Would that part be used in the front brakes and is it the same?
