Default Will these Rim&Tire specs fit a stock 1969 Chevelle?

Hi, I was planning on running 15"x10" Weld Draglites with 4.5" BS with 30x12x15 MT slicks. Would this require any mods or would i be able to run these on a stock chevelle?

I don't think you will be fitting these with zero modifications. Typically you need a 5.5" BS to run a 15x10 and not trim the wheel well lip. Usually you do 4.5" back spacing on an 8" wheel. You might get away with running that tire but should look into an 8" rim.

Do you think if I ran a 15x10 with 5.5" BS would fit with that tire? I don't mind having to trim the lip a bit, I just don't wanna have to tub it or do any major body mods.

Hard to say without measuring your car first. Every car is different for various reasons and you should spend $50 or $60 and get yourself a backspace measuring tool. It will tell you exactly what will and will not fit. My guess is on a 15x10 with 5.5" bs you will probably get the tire to fit but will be very close to your outer wheel lip. If you are looking at a soft side-wall drag tire and it flexes at all you stand a chance of catching the sidewall on the sheet metal and blowing out a tire. I think you will need to roll your wheel well a little but you seriously should measure if you are going to run a tire that large.

I will have to invest in that measuring tool! Thank you so much for all the help, I can't thank you enough!

My 68 has a 295/65 DR on a 15x10 Convo Pro. It must be a 5" bs since they don't come in a 5.5. Driver side is very close to the lip and rubs a little. I will be changing over to Draglites at some point and will run a 5.5 " bs.

A back space tool is invaluable to have. To get the most tire, you will prob have to roll the wheel well lip.

Also, remember that you need to check the tire manufacturers spec on height and width for the particular tire your looking to run. Even though all tires have specific size ranges, they all do vary in dimensions in the same size range from manufacturer to manufacturer. You need to look at several and compare dimensions. I think you will be suprised. They can vary up to an inch or more.

Back in the day I ran a 15x10 with a 29x13.50x15 in a 4.75 backspace on a Monte Carlo. Everyne thought the car was mini tubbed. Tire was tight but iw a combo of back spacing and "actual" tire height and width that made it work.

The 295 tire looks great on the 68 BTW !!!
