Default Largest tires on 15 x7 on 69

What is the largest front/rear tire size on 15x7 rally rims with no rubbing or a puckered look.

I have 245/60 15's now and they are too small. i think that's like 25.5" tall?
and if i get on it they give up to easily (granted 4.11's don't help)

thx
rs

I have 275/60's on 15x8 rims. I believe 275 is about the widest you can go with no worries. Not sure about mounting a 275/60 on a 7" rim though, they fit well on an 8" rim. You should check with a tire shop to see what the widest tire is that fits well on a 7" rim.

A 255/60-15 is the widest tire recommended on a 7" wide wheel. A 275/60-15 tire needs at least a 7.5" wheel per BFG.

Your telling me Bill, thing is screaming at me at 60mph. I keep waiting for it to shift... never happens

I got 200-r4 lines up for it but that will have to wait till winter. then i will see if i still need to got to 3.70/3.55 or something.

it sure helps get out of the hole with just 370hp....

On other not i cant find my recpt.. i think i got 15x7's got to see if i can measure with out unmouting tire

I have 245/60 15's in now so 255's would only get me another inch is that right? no 60% of 1" so about half and inch is that correct???

You'd gain 60% of 10mm X 2, so 12mm, which is 1/2"

As per the BFG website:
Quote:
29.1" tall, 10.2" section width, 7.8" tread width
From their site concerning the 245/60-15
Quote:
26.6" tall, 9.8 section width, 8.5" tread width
It has less tread width, which confuses me... to me a 245 = 245mm wide, and a 255 = 255mmm wide. But, it is a good amount taller and has more section width. (overall width) Mounting a 275/60-15 on a 7" wide wheel isn't recommended, but I've seen it done.
