Did she have a bladder suspension? They've been using a mesh for that for years but I guess they've had an issue with it. Especially those done years ago.

You definitely need health insurance unless you're rich. Pretty sure none of us here are that well off. I'll see today how much more this is going to cost when they release Lynda today.

Tony, guess I can do some vacuuming and dishes. As long as she cleans up the leaves and cuts the grass.

My mother turned 65 and retired Tuesday. She worked for Florida Hospital 30+years. Great insurance until "unaffordable care act" went into effect. Now, their medications aren't 100% covered anymore. Some BS about a "doughnut hole." Basically, once a certain amount is reached - they are on the hook for the rest. My dad had a heart transplant a little over 10 years ago. My mom has been suffering from afib since 2010. Both are on a lot of medication and require frequent doctor visits.

This healthcare debacle is affecting me indirectly, but it still gets me angry. Any time some worthless human being starts saying "free", I literally kill them in my head over and over. It's a damn shame that socialism is slowly taking over without a single shot being fired.

If your mom has Medicare only then yea, prescriptions can be a problem. Need supplemental insurance for that or a Medicare advantage plan. Basically Medicare sends your monthly premium to the insurance company and they pay the bills, nothing gets billed to Medicare. It will cost more, how much depends on the plan.

They have a supplemental plan, not sure about the exact details.
