71 SS door panel
I have a 71 Chevelle "SS", and am in the middle of replacing the front door panels. On the panels that are on the car when I purchased it 6 yrs ago, the only emblem that are on them, are the "SS" emblem. Some of the company's that I am looking to for replacement, are either showing me, or are telling me, that "theirs" have an emblem that I believe is for a regular "Malibu", and that all I have to do is reattach the "SS" emblem from my old panels. All I have to go by, is what my car came with, and whats on the current panels. Can someone tell me, which is the correct way to go. I'm trying to put the car back to "as close to original" as possible while doing this. Any help will be appreciated. Regards, Rick

I just did a quick search on ebay and found a few 71's which appear to be "original" SS cars and it looks like the "SS" emblem is in the same place that the malibu ones are, so I figure you could probably just replace yours with whatever they come with.

The SS emblem is the only thing on them. I know some of the SS cars in 70 came with the Malibu emblems and not the SS ones.
