Been working on this...
My buddy Rhett has been building this thing for better than a year, and it isd almost done. I've lended my hands for the last week or so, putting in engine, installing brakes, hydraulic brakes and steering, running exhuast, etc.
1984 Scottsdale SWB Full roller 350 with .550 lift/235 duration 750 double pumper with Air Gap Chevy Millitary 4.56 10.5" lockers front and rear 44" Interco TSL Super Swampers Approx. 18" of lift Hydraulic Steering/Brakes 3" Exhaust MSD 6AL Any rig that requires a ladder to work on the engine is cool in my book... Rocker panels are about 46" off the ground... |

I was sitting here looking at the pics, and I turned to Grumpy and said "I bet you love this truck" and lo and behold he is the first post after the pics....
Cool truck...oh yeah...I think that having to use a ladder just to look into the truck is cool too...

Looks like a fun project to work on. My son really loves the older trucks, I do too. They're getting to be pretty popular.

Thanks guys...there are a lo of pipelines and utilities to run around here, that are reeeaaaly swampy. I just can't wait to tear up the swamp with this thing. It still has a ways to go, the body isn't tightened on the frame yet, the xmember needs to be notched so we can put the front driveshaft in, etc.
Funny Gary. |
