Had to fix my daily driver today. The wiper on the driver's side decided to stop working while driving home in the pouring rain. The plastic bushings in the wiper transmission linkage failed.

I had a brake squealing on the van. It had a anti-squeal pad got rust under it and come loose. I pulled it off and used liquid anti-squeal for the moment solved it. Well they are not bad but it been a few years and they getting thinner.
So I ordered the wagner thermoquiets front and back. And got a new hardware kit for the back. It never had one and that stuff just needs freshed up.

And this is something that don't happen every day. My brother is getting a couple boats package deal from a guy who upgraded to a cabin cruiser. He is getting a 270 Baja. Factory 454 supercharged. And since I helped him build his house I get a 170 horizon 18 foot bowrider. Motor is out of it and needs freshened up but it all works.

I say can't beat that with a stick. So sunday I got pick up the outdrive and the engine on a stand. While we tow his boat back I believe the deal is.

I gave the GAGT a tune up Tuesday... coil, wires, plugs, and air filter. It had developed a miss at idle in damp weather. And idled a hair rough in any weather. The original parts were toast, and the air box/filter were full of dirt and rocks. It definitely runs much smoother. Amazing that it averaged 25.5 MPG and got 27.5 a few times.

Well news is the new to me boat I am restoring now. Is scheduled to come home next weekend. Waiting for the ground to dry and not be a mud pit where it is. Guy is gonna pull it out pressure wash it and check the wheel bearings. Once he does that transfer and pull it home.

It had a crank trigger short out and the hot wires insulation wore through. Positive to the base in the distributor fried the halls effect electronics and the coil. I was on the horn with Petronix yesterday and we got all that sorted out. Parts list for new parts.

Since the boat uses a generator and resistors. Today I gonna go look through my spare alternators and see what got to be done to mount it for a conversion. I got a nice 3 month old 100 amp one from my 90 astro parts van I cut the front end off of to put on mine when it was wrecked.

Now is the time to upgrade. I got the engine on the stand with the wiring. Boat isn't here and I don't got anything else to do.

I had a buddy come over for rust repair on a 08 4 runner. Just minor stuff but he dont want it getting out of control like the last one did before he met me. We sat in the chevelle and listened to the stereo and made the plan on his truck.

So the chev was my office yesterday LOL.

Day off, not really... worked on the LeMans. It starts better, the proper choke rod will do that. I think I have the lack of brakes narrowed down to a bad master cylinder. Also found that the distributor cap was loose. Lastly, removed the 3.07:1 geared 12 bolt rear and installed a 3.55:1 rear. It's getting closer, I just need the time to work on this stuff.
