New guy from SoCal
My name is Chris. I have a 65 Chevelle. Needs to be redone as it never has been yet. It is a one family car. Originally my grandma's. Well my grandpa bought it for himself but after a week she stole it from him
It is red with a red interior. Bench seats. Has a 283 (now it was a I6 orginally). Have added power discs to the front. Cloth seats were redone in vinyl in late 80s. Orginal seat covers still sitting in the garage. Unfortunately the car has sat for the last several years. I was trying to finish up school and didn't have much time to spend on it and my uncle's health was failing so my dad couldn't do much with it either. I will have to get some more pictures of it soon and post them. That and get the garage at my house cleaned up so that I can bring it home. It is at my dad's right now. I am pretty active on a Chevy Truck forum and thought I would check it out here. Last edited by ced_56; 04-07-2011 at 12:10 AM. |

Thanks for the welcomes.
Flash. I actually have 2 trucks. I have a 57 longbed, factory V8 and 4 speed automatic (hydromatic). That one is a complete project that I may have to let go of . The other is a 09 Colorado that is my daily driver. Just doing a few things to it to make it look a little nicer and have a little more power. |

Sounds like a nice ride, I think i like the pickup from the sounds of it too. I love older GM trucks. One day I hope to find an old NAPCO conversion and build up another 47-53 style. It seems like the value of antique trucks are always on a steady rise no matter what the car market does. It would be nice to keep both!

Here is some pics of my 65. Also shown are our 57 Nomad and 56 Belair. The red 64 belongs to a friend. This is a few years back when they were all used in mine and my wife's wedding.
