Default need help in decipering these engine id numbers

Hello. I have a 69 Malibu 350. engine is in shop for overhaul. anyway, while mechanic had all of it torn down, I pulled numbers off all these parts. what do they all mean? car is a matching numbers 350.

block 3932388
6160
T 13
conv 1
ID 19B375144 To4IIHF. I know my VIN is 375143, so it matches except last digit, block is a 4, my vin is a 3
388

37TG14
the above are all off the block. what do all those numbers mean?

the Heads. one side is 393441 , then A149 then GM 9
the other side is 3932441 then A 169, then GM 9 , so the A number is different from the other side

would this be a 2 or 4 bolt main?

and why would last digit on block be off from the VIN?

all your help would be appreciated!. the engine is bored 30 over, and I am just having basic stock cam, crank, pistons put on to keep costs down.

I have the original carb and intake and exhaust manifolds that came with car also , but I run long tubes with alum intake and Edelbrock 600 carb.

thanks again!
K

Well google is your friend. Start by searching for Chevy casting #. It's a 350 block. Should be 4 bolt. As for VIN, wouldn't be the first time they stamped one wrong or mixed them up on the assembly line.

Here is good site to find what codes are where and what they mean.

http://chevellestuff.net/1969/engine_id_codes.htm

HF = 350 2bbl, powerglide, 250 HP L65 engine option. Should be a 2 bolt main block with a nodular iron crank.

The A149, & A169 mean that the heads were cast 2 days apart... January 14th & 16th 1969. Your heads are 441 castings, 76cc - 1.94/1.50 valves.

Everything seems to jive with what the car is suppised to be.

thanks for the info. what is T 13 and 37 TG 14? so, you have seen where one digit does not line up as rest of the vin? I also see these little stamp clock like stamps, with an arrow in the block, what are those? so this engine is a 2 bolt main.

I assume getting this rebuilt still adds value to the car as opposed to just doing a crate engine? this rebuild is taking forever, now they have to bore the block area where the crank goes, as it don't turn freely

I would have to see a picture to be certain and compare it to my blocks. (I have a few 69 L48 350s)

The clock with the arrow is what hour of the shift the block was cast. Sounds like they are line boring the mains.

yeah, the main area where the crank goes, the new crank didn't turn freely, so they sent to another machine shop, another 2 weeks as very few shops do the work and other engines they working on. they said this part would cost me another $200. they have now had my car since sept 22nd. this is sure a lengthly process.

Unreal... I took two late model 5.3L blocks in during thanksgiving week for hot tank & install cam bearings. Turn around was 5 days.
