Default 'Glassing in a Hood Scoop

Here's a few pic's of a simple hood scoop install. The scoop is an L-88 replica with a 4" cowl. I am installing it in a one piece fiberglass front clip. I was lucky. I just kind of eyeballed where it should go. It wasn't until it was all said and done I realized how important it was to be square and even.

I guess my 40 year old eyes are are still pretty sharp.

Set scoop on hood to get general idea of measurements...

Measure carefully and use zip disc on grinder to cutout location...

Rivet or screw in place, then glass in place with matting or roving...

Mold in with resin and bondo...

Sand, fill...sand, fill...sand, fill...until it's good to go...

Paint it...and take it to town...

I love that scoop on the Punisher John!
The flames look perfect with it!

Looks great. I went a little different direction with my Nova. I fabbed a steel stinger hood for it.
