So here are some pictures of the finished seats that I took today before I took my car out for a cruise. These seats are great side support and back support. The vinyl is very soft and pliable. I really like them. I had hubby try to sit in the drivers seat and because we replaced the bottom springs and because of the new foam.....he had a hard time fitting into my car because his head touches the top of the car. My son Jacob who has just reached 6' tall says that if he sits up then his head will touch the top of the car too.

Sorry for the bad pictures. I took them with my phone because I could not find my camera.

Did you use ACI Foams?

If not you have the same problem I have with the foams.

When I got the covers I also got the foams from TCI that were made to fit the covers. Here is a link to the site.

He has owned the car 30 years. Rust was doing its thing. He has been watching me fix mine. Giving me a hard time for doing such a ridiculous job restoring it. Well 6 months ago he got with the program. He put new half quarters on it and plans to get new fenders also. He gave me 2 mucie 4 speeds and a hurst competition plus shifter for mine. I took both apart and made one perfect trans and one that works but needs parts. Worked out perfect one had a bad 4rth but was rebuilt not to long ago. The other had a bad second gear. Was popping out of gear if you let off the gas.

Anyway we been friends since high school and both of us have always had chevelles. I always had 66's multiples of that model, 7 total over the years, and 68's and 69's. He has always had 71's and 72's.

I got the trans in exchange for the upcoming bodywork and paint on his. He wants blue with white stripes.

I warned him it is a sickness. The interior he got is perfect for its age. No rips or tears. I told him once he gets bodywork and paint it wont be so cherry looking anymore and the feeding frenzy buying new stuff will begin. He rolled his eyes back in his head and said "F you" Laughed and said I know I going to spend as much as I paid for my house like you did.

It is a 350 4 speed headers cam. With posi and rally mags. He don't want it perfect but a very nice driver as it has been forever. So there the story there. And when the paint "EVER" is over on mine I will be slingin bondo on his making it presentable. He wants what I did to my van kinda job. He says mine has been ready for paint for 5 years. He don't want that, he says he would be afraid to drive it then. I been teasing him telling him I won't paint it unless he gets a cowl hood. I will put a big run in it if he don't get one.
