Default Interior kicking my ???

Been working on the interior for the last two weeks and still don't have it done. Can't seem to get the door panels to stay hooked at the top and then the window seals inside the door move up and down. I may have to replace the seals they have started to tear where they connect to the door. This is getting old fast. I bet I have 20 hours just into the doors and still not right yet.

Sounds ruff, it'll be worth in the long run. I'll be in your shoes in a few weeks, need some interior work also. Good luck.

Sorry I don't have any suggestions for you Ray. I didn't have a problem with the door panels. I had a problem with the rear panels staying hooked over the top.

My interior panels didnt line up correctly in the convertible but I finally just decided to live with it but ours is a driver so it didnt really matter that much. I will figure it out the next time I restore it .My 72 El Camino SS wasnt as bad except for the door panels were not assembled and they were a pain in the a$$ to get right .It took me three weeks just to do the door panels ,from now on all my door panels will be pre assembled. Good Luck Ray ,if you have serious problems call James Hinshaw at Hinshaw Chevelle Parts as he is a master of interior restoration .

Ray, It is so tough trying to get everything just the way you want it. Like grandsport says be patient. I think I would also take flash's advice and call the interior guy.

Finally made so progress today. I had to bend the upper brackets up so they fit better inside the metal top of the door panel. Left side is on and working on the right trying to get it to line up with the back panel lines. Also the holes for the clips are a little off making it hard toget it all to line up correctly. It's amazing how much stuff I have on my counter top just for the interior work. Still have a room full of parts that need to still go on the car.
