Don't know if you found an answer on the sealant but I'm pretty sure it's a gray rope type caulk, 3M makes it. Looks like plumper's putty, same thing they use to seal the kick panel around the vent.
Have you put your kick panels in yet. I putting mine in, well trying to. I have the insulation but can't figure out how it fits in there. Doesn't match the shape of kick panel of body panels at all. Last edited by Hank70SS; 05-07-2010 at 12:53 PM. |

3m sells calk rope.Its black and sticky and wont dry.I used clay I found in a auto parts store.Its gray and comes in a block shape.Never dryes also.

3M makes a good sealer that I used on my heater box; it worked so well that when I had to drop the box a year later I didn't have to use any tape to hold the front cover on in the engine compartment. I was just black waterproof 3m sealer.
