The weather has been really nice for the garden. Huge cucumbers and tomatoes when I got back from the NOCC show. I am just hoping that we have nice weather for the next 2 weeks. Let's make it past the WWDC and Back to the Bricks.

Yup, another perfect day. Went with Lynda to Milford Memories, was getting a little warm near the end. Probably walked 2 miles but couldn't ask for a nicer day.

I just turned my air off because it is supposed to get down to 55 tonight. Nice sleeping weather. Then it should be around 80 for the next few days. David and I were sitting on the porch tonight and he said it felt like a September night.

Yesterday was interesting. Over 6" of rain in some areas around Detroit. Took our son around 3 hrs to get home. He was on the Lodge freeway, had to get off because it was closed. Got on the Davison to try to get to I-96, had to get off. Made via surface streets to I-96 then had to get off. Took Plymouth Rd to Telegraph to M-5 and finally back to I-96.

I-696 and I-75 is still under water. The water in the underpass was up to the bridge, around 14'. Every freeway in the area was closed at some point due to flooding and many are still closed. Some may be closed for days while they move all the abandoned cars out and clean up the mud and crud on the freeway. I think they said 32 cars were under water just at the I-696 - I-75 interchange.

Hope no one in area had any basement flooding. We didn't get the heavy rains here, Livingston county was one of the few without flood warnings.

We live about 20 min from Detroit Metro Airport. Yesterday Judy and I had to pick up someone that came in from China. His plane was about 35 min late and it took us over 2 1/2 hrs to get back home. Got home to about 5" water in the basement. Spent around 4 to 5 hrs cleanin up that. Didn't get to bed till 3 this morning..........boy was I beat.
