I had a wheel bearing go bad on my van. I am waiting on a spindle to come. But I am down here just being me it is my toybox.

Anyway my son came down he wanted to sit in the chevelle and play race car driver. Listen to the radio and pretend to drive. He keeps saying my chevelle. Whoa there big fella it wont be yours for quite some time if I got anything to say about it. I ain't ready to go just yet

LOL. At best our chevelle. Kids.

I was getting brakes for the van today. I go by the shall we call it customs shop. They mainly deal with classics and exotic cars. I think it is actually advertised a top and interior place.

Anywho it was heart breaking. 71 chevelle with custom paint was there. I mean it looked good freshly done. It had its side caved in. Someone hit it. door and rear window area of the quarter shoved in. Looked like the other car climbed over the chevelles frame. Rope tying the door closed he drove it there.

It stayed there after they talked I had to go back for other parts working. So it will live again. I can't wait to see it finished again. This place does good work.

Got the sides cut, edges rounded over, top sections cut. Will tack it together and see how she fits. Then wrap some sections in naugahyde and start putting it all together.

Removed the rear wheel opening moldings from the 72'. The garbage hardware was trashed, had a few really fight me. Does anyone sell stainless steel trim screws for the wheel opening moldings? I absolutely refuse to put non stainless screws back when I reinstall them.

Here's a few pics of assembly. The multi-colored stuff is some sticky back foam board for a touch of padding. Slow but sure, and its comin together.
