Mine was where the sender strap grounded to the metal. It got loose on the rivet.

Most likely the same reason the clock doesn't work.

Ha, Clock that does not work is in the Camaro and I think Tony did it to see how far he could push me.

I went out and looked at that and it is bolt and not riveted on mine and will clean that to see if that works. Also noticed a gas leak at the rubber line where it meets the metal line so that has to be fixed as well.

Maybe the gas gauge was jealous of all the attention that the clock is getting.

Nothing special waiting for parts. I spent the entire morning running the shop vac. Under the car in the car, under the hood. My chevelle shares its home with my van. It is raining and the other baby isn't going outside till the rain stops. It is detailed and ready for a cruise. I drive my truck in the nasty stuff.

Anyhow I can't go to the next step in cleaning untill the van is out of the way. So I can move the chevelle and start mopping up. Leaf blower for dust and spider webs before I tape and prime.

Poor van been totalled 3X since I owned it. Front end knocked off 5 years ago. Drivers door back to the rear wheel X-Mas before last. Fist time it was the slider door side. I keep fixin her. She is my driver. I call her my Pregnant Chevelle. Part of the reason the chevelle is taking so long. Life keeps getting on the way. But I am keeping in practice for the chevelle.
