Default Chassis prep

What is the easiest way to get the 40+ years of dirt, grease, and gunk build up off the chassis so I can paint it and get it looking good? I don't have the resources to take the engine out and tear it all down to do this, so the car has to stay completely together. Have to love those HOA's.

If your wanting to do it while it's all together about the only thing that might clean it up for you is a pressure washer.

A pressure washer is what Im going to try on my 72 chevy truck this spring, soak it down with some degreaser and go at it .Its gonna be a greasy mess and it is staying together as its my daily driver .
