Question seeking advice

i just picked up a 71 chevelle on a trade so i am new to the site. my question is.... were the drivers front fender bolts to the firewall area... the fire wall area is rotted away. was wondering if there were any replacement panels out there other that replacing the whole side of the car with the panel from opgi. will post pictures later this week. thanks for the help

First welcome to the site, most vendors sell the panels you are looking for. But if that area is rusted out, I'm guessing the rust issues are far more deeper then what you can see. One area that also gets rusted out is where the front fender connects at the bottom and you have to make a replacement panel to repair that area. Also it most llikely has effected your floor pan area somewhere. Here's another vendor who has the panels also (Ground Up). Post some pictures when you can. Good luck on your car and again welcome.

thanks for the site. ray.... when u mentioned the bottom of the fender connecting to the shelll.... thats the exact place i am talking about...... have you or do you know of anyone who has made that section or if the reproduce them.-mark

When we did my 72 we just had to replace the whole fender, there was too much involved in fabricating them.
