Default Brass Tube Identify ?

Digging thru a small parts stash of misc. I came across this small brass formed tube, 5/8'' ID at the large end and 9/16'' ID at the small end. Measures about 4'' in length and is machine formed. Any one have any idea what it is? Not sure why I saved it or where/when I acquired it.

Looks like something that broke off a heater core. Does the smaller end look like it was soldered?

Bill, thanks for the reply. Does not appear that either end had ever been soldered but who knows. Thanks again for the reply.
