Default Suburban

It will be finished on Monday. I bought a longblock from Brandon (Notalent) with a 3 year unlimited mile warranty, and a pile of parts. A shop that does a LOT of work for the fleet vehicles at my job quoted a price for installation that I couldn't refuse. I watched them fire it up yesterday afternoon.

New parts...4 core radiator, water pump, MPFI conversion, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil cooler lines, etc.

Good for you Jake. Hope that's the last of your problems with the 'burb.

Sounds like it should be fun, go easy on that transmission! I did the Mercruiser camshaft swap with the adjustable rocker arm kit on my 454 in the 99 Burb and now my trans is slipping. It has 152 on it and I haven't touched it since around 100k so I'm guessing it is about due. I'm guessing you have a 350 that had the crappy spider injector. Did you go with the marine intake manifold for the conversion?

It is always nice to get our vehicles back. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Yes, the injectors looked horrible. They were the poppet style. I have the stock intake. It is going to be like a different truck.

Great news Jake. Sounds like a trip to Latrobe will break it in properly.

Cool! Hope the truck serves you well for a long time... unexpected repairs can really mess up your plans, but they're usually still cheaper than a payment on something new(er).
