Default oil pressure question

I recently changed oil in my car. I used 10w40 and an ac delco pf454 filter. My problem is that when I am cruisin at about 3000 rpm the pressure gage goes from 45 to 25 psi. I dont hear any knocking. Could it be wrong filter or collapsed filter?

Is it a electric or mechanical gauge? If it is electrical it could be the sender going bad.
Test it with another gauge mechanical type.

Does it stay at 25 psi or does it jump around?

If it didn't do that before the oil change I would invest in a new filter. I prefer WIX filters, NAPA gold filters are also good, made by WIX. Nothing but good reports on WIX filters. Whatever you do avoid the Orange Canister of Death (Fram).
