Default Rear Suspension Question?

Hey Guys I am getting ready to replace all my rear suspension on my 69 Chevelle.........springs, shocks, control arms etc.
Is there a certain order that I should follow when swapping out my suspension parts? Mods please move if I posted in the wrong forum.
Thanks!

I would start with control arms as they will be your biggest pain in the but, I had to have mine cut out in pcs as they were so bad that I could not get the bolt out. I would do it why you have the tank out as it will be easier for the upper control arms on the diff.

Just don't torque down the bolts on the control arms until you get all the weight on them.

Don't neglect to replace the bushings in the rear axle housing. They are a bear to remove, but well worth the effort.

Yes, they are a lot of fun. I would do one set of control arms at a time. That will help keep the axle somewhat in place. I still needed ratchet straps to pull mine into place when I replaced control arms.

Replace control arms, remove shocks, r&r springs then install new shocks.

I used the Spohn Del Sphere control arms. They are adjustable and the Del Sphere Spherical bushing looks massive and should be strong..

Having a four wheel alignment along with setting the rear end up at its optimum angle is so worthwhile..
