Well the computer that I store everything on. The hard drive crashed. I lost everything recent basically.

I got a new hard drive and installed it. Upgraded memory. But I digress. Microsoft and HP wanted to charge me for another copy of windows. What a scam. I told them I own a copy thank you very much. I got it with the computer. I am not paying for a car twice because I lost the keys. I just break in and have a key made. Take that how you want goodbye and thanks for nothing.

Well what makes this a what have you done with your chevelle subject. I lost 13 years of progress pictures. Then it hit me. I been E mailing everything to a freind who is a chevelle nut to. So I was up till 3 am extracting pictures from the send files in my E Mail. Gee I never realized I had 3500 pictures LOL.

It is amazing how many pictures you take on these builds. That why I have an external drive to store things on and have a copy sets of CD's with pictures stored away, you never know. I learned the hard way also.

I've had something similar happen but it was with every picture and everything I ever had. About 12 years ago our house caught on fire and was a total loss. Baby pictures from when I was a kid and growing up, every other non replaceable item gone just like that.

One thing I do now is back up my computer to an external hard drive that is stored in a safe and every picture I take with my phone or put on the computer is stored on a remote server like Dropbox, photobucket, or Google+. I have 1TB of storage on google for anything I want for $1.99/mo. To me that's well worth the cost of loosing all those pictures or files you can never get back. Luckily for you, you were able to get most of your pictures back from your email.

Few big hose clamps and some hanger wire
To stop the wood from spliting.
Or upgrade to pressure treated lumber.
