The 1st order of business is to rebuild the suspension & upgrade the brakes to disc since it has drums all the way around. Then the guy I bought the car back from had placed sheet metal over the floors that look like Swiss Cheese. They're really bad. As well as the trunk pans. The trunk was so bad that the braces were rotted & could no longer support the gas tank. That's y he chose to use a fuel cell. With such crappy work done by previous owner, I'm sure that once the paint is stripped I'll have to do quarter panel repairs. When my dad owned this car, he had replaced the body mounts so I probably won't go full frame off. Hopefully by next winter I'll have enough $$$ saved to send it to paint & while that's being done i'll build my motor. Interior will remain black & the front bench will be swapped because I'd like buckets & to move the column shift to the floor. So far that's my plan. I'm sure a ton of other things will need to be done but as for the car it's pretty complete. There's nothing missing but as for trim & chrome, it almost looks cheaper to buy new bumpers, trim & etc rather than rechroming existing ones.

Sounds like a good plan.

Yeah, I'm gonna take it real slow & legit. I only plan on doing this once & doing it right. This car has a lot of sentimental value to me.
