Source for alternator rebuild kit?
Checked all the obvious vendors, they only seem to carry kits for the modern stuff. I want to rebuild my original alternator myself. I've done them in the past, it's not too difficult.
I have an externally regulated 61A, and want to keep it that way. Part # is 1102463

Found a few places...
http://alternatorkit.com/index.html?...dbeff1f907c24a http://www.dbelectrical.com/ DB comes highly recommended, I am going to check out what both offer and make a choice.

I took mine into a local shop that does older alternators. By the time I got the kit and did it myself it was not worth my time to mess with it. It only cost $80 to have it done by a someone who does it everyday and I got it back in 2 hours.

I've searched around locally Ray, haven't found anyone I would trust. Going to look until the end of the month, then attempt it myself. I've rebuilt engines before with success, can't be too difficult. ::shrug::
