Default rear seat question

can someone help me out with this. I was told that the rear seat is the same from 68-72. now someone is telling me that in 70 the seats are smaller then the 68-69. can someone clear that up for me?

As far as my experience, 68'-69' are the same, and 70'-72' are the same. A friend of my father's tried a spare 70'-72' seat we had in his 69' - no dice.

It was too wide, the 70'-72's are bulkier and wider cars than the 68'-69's.

NP, I have my eye on a certain 69' that my father owned briefly. It needs a rear seat, one of the things keeping me from trying to aquire it. It is the car in question that we tried a 72' seat in.

This is from your other post earlier

68-69 rear seats are 58",
70-72 coupes are 52", 70 to 72 use a filler panel in the back that the ash tray sits in.
68-72 convertibles are 48".

Need to make a correction to that. I was told wrong by a friend

Coupes for 70-72 are 52"
Convertibles are 48"

I checked my 70 and it is 52"

Great score Shaun. My memory must be failing me in my 30s. Ray, a Monte Carlo seat wouldn't be any different - would it? (70'-72')
