Shaun,
Being in the brake business (TRW), I would get the kit. Be sure to take detail pics before you tear it apart and change the wheel cylinders as well.

When I do drum brakes ,I do one side at a time so I can use the other side as a reference as I dont do it often enough to remember each step. Its usually not a bad job to deal with.

i was asking because the local auto store couldnt get me the parts but after talking to a friend he told me i can get it from auto zone for half the price. here are the links he sent me
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...er=210195_0_0_ http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...er=210203_0_0_ http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...er=209866_0_0_ so adding that up that comes up to $29.97 and i can go pick it up. does it look like i am missing anything?

If it were me I would just replace the springs and shoes as well as the wheel cylinders ,everything else should be fine just cleaned and re-used .Take the adjuster apart and clean them good and lube them and they should be fine .

The wheel cylinders look pretty coroded but the springs look to be re-useable ,I would get some brake cleaner and spray everything real good and let it soak a bit. The shoes I would definitely replace and those springs can be a pain but take your time and lay the parts on the floor like you took them off to help know how they go back.

Buy local it will be cheaper, save on shipping charges. It not that expensive to start with new parts. Springs loose tension and cylinders leak. Not worth the risk to have something go wrong for a few extra bucks.
