Default Quick oil questions

Does Valvoline VR-1 have enough zinc in it ,as to eliminate the eos? Also,I changed my oil in October and there is 100 miles on it,should I change it again?

I dont know about the zinc but you need to get out there and drive that chevelle. Only 100 miles since October ,you should be ashamed .I do more than that almost every weekend.

I assume your engine/cam is nothing radical and you don't spin it to 8k. VR1 is pretty good oil with enough ZDDP to protect your cam. How much does a pint of EOS cost now? I bought several a few years ago before they stopped selling it for awhile. I don't use very much of it since I have a roller cam.

What's your oil look like, should still be pretty clean. I know a lot guys will say change it but if it's just been sitting in the garage the oil isn't going to go bad.

EDIT: Info on VR1 is from Scott Wheaton, AKA Mister Oil.

If I remember correctly it was about $20. The oil is so clean you can hardly see it on the stick.
