Default Something is missing.

I finally got all the planets in alignment and was able to get my car to the shop, after having to charge the battery. Took the EFI kit, all the brackets and the air conditioning kit.

We were curious if the air conditioning kit had a face plate, I bought one just in case. Anyway as we are checking all the parts in the box, something is missing. No compressor ! What, everything else is in the box except the compressor. We even have the packing list that shows it was there. And of course it was after 9pm, so NPD was closed. The kicker of all of this is...when we picked up this kit, it was the last one they had.

Please keep your fingers crossed that I can get this problem solved, easily.

Closed? Not the FL store, it's 24/7. I used to work there about 8 years ago. For insurance purposes - they always have at least two people working. (car collection is housed in in the FL store.) When I was a noob there, my shift was noon - 9pm. A few of the other guys worked till midnight and would tell me about some of the phone calls they got right before their shift ended. (drunk people, high people, etc.)

Thanks for the info on the FL store, unfortunately it would not have done me any good because we needed to pick it up here.

So this morning we call NPD to tell them that the compressor was not in the box. So David gets on the phone with this nice guy that asks what we picked up. David tells him the large box and a smaller box with some mounts. The guy asks if there was a 3rd box, David says no..just the two. David was told to hold on while the guy went into the warehouse to look for the box. About 5 min later he comes back and says that they don't have a compressor. GREAT...now what am I going to do? The guy at NPD tells David he will call him back, he is going to talk to his boss and see if he can get it overnighted to us.

About 10 minutes later the phone rings and it is NPD. They found a compressor. The guy said that he just opened up another kit and took the compressor out to give to us. Same compressor, different kit. Didn't matter to me, I just needed the compressor. YEAH !! One problem solved.

I still had to deal with finding a lowkar dipstick and tube. They were out of stock everywhere, except e-bay and amazingly we found it on Amazon. 2 day, and we will have it by Tuesday. Keeping fingers crossed.

I was going to offer you my compressor until you got yours but seems you got it going your way now . Mine wont be needed for a while yet but I may need to check the boxes to make sure everything is there.
