Default Don't shoot me, it isn't a Chevy!

I posted this on the other site as well but I know some of you frequent this one more than that so I thought I'd share here too!

I know this is a Chevelle site and we all get up in arms about Mustangs but I believe most of us are just car enthusiasts and the car I am posting photos of is well....just a work of engineering art in my opinion.

I went by the speed shop yesterday to pick up a part for the Corvette and one of the shop owner's friends had his latest project in while they were working on getting all the wiring done on the interior. The car is simply amazing and the level of detail is in a whole other league beyond what I am custom to seeing.

So this is the car. On first glance, just a little 70 Mach 1, nothing too special, just a well done car right?

I think the wheels look good on the car

Hmmm.... Interesting, that doesn't look right

I spy something out of the ordinary with this pony!

There it is... The complete underpinnings of a Ford GT!! Done right!

The owner also has a 69 Camaro with a complete Z-06 swap done the same way, interior and all.

Eric, one of the things that we wanted to accomplish with this site was to be able to welcome ANYONE with ANY KIND OF CAR. When grumpy and I started this site we researched so many names and decided on the Chevelle Forums name because of my passion for the beautiful styling of Chevelles, Malibus, El Caminos, and Beaumonts.

I just want this site to welcome anyone with a passion for their cars. Honestly, a beautiful car is a beautiful car. I don't care what factory it was built in or what name is on the name plate. There are people out there that don't believe that you should change things on a car, that a car should be brought back to original. I respect those individuals and their dedication to preserving the history of some of the most beautiful classic cars. But I also, as your pictures above prove, want to welcome people who have a vision on what they want in their cars and are so creative in making that possible.

Many of the Classic Car enthusiasts have an attention to detail that is unmatched anywhere. And I want everyone to feel welcome here.

By the way, love the pics and the story.

I bet that car handles insane! I was lucky enough to ride in a Ford GT when they first came out. The car was stupid fast for a showroom stock vehicle.

For the stock class, I know its 0-3 changes. If I were to have custom wheels & a different exhaust(factory manifolds), would I still be able to show in the stock class, or should I just run my stock wheels(w/radial tires)?
I like the look of the custom wheels. Has anybody ever had their car in the stock class with custom wheels?
He's back with more Spam..can we contact him to help him spell Chevelle.

That's way cool! I've always said, I'm a HOTROD guy, not a Chevy guy or a Ford guy. If it's cool, I like it. ....and that thing is COOL!
