My 67 Chevelle
Hello All, New owner of a 67 Chevelle SS Clone. I saw this car a year ago and basically tracked the owner down over since then. I'm diggin the white paint which is holding up pretty well after 23-24 years. I'm working on a couple minor issue, replacing missing backup light switch and a horn button that's intermittent. Other than that, this car even with its 427 guzzling all along the way, this will be my daily driver through the summer for sure. Glad to be here and I'm looking forward to spending way too much time in this forum.

Hi, looks like your car is in great shape. '67 is one of my favorite years.
BTW: Looks like you have a Hurst shifter. If so you can go to Amazon and pickup a backup light switch. The original linkage that controls the switch was probably removed since it won't work with a Hurst shifter. |

I ended up ordering the switch/bracket from the local speed shop. The bracket was trash, so thin, mild steel, that each time the switch makes contact it pushes further away until it stops working. Ended up fabricating a better one myself. basically bought a switch and a junk piece of steel.

Mine flexes but I think it's meant to so the switch doesn't get broken if it's adjusted too close. As long as you got it working, that's what counts.

Nice looking car. Does the dog get to go for rides? The paint on the car and the color of the dog match!
