New member from CT
Sorry for the name...I'm actually a Mopar guy but my father was a die hard Chevy guy so I grew up around Chevys my entire life. My first car was a sweet 71 Malibu with a 307. I currently have had my father's 67 SS since 2006 when he passed. I found the car for him in 1995 locally in CT. I never learned much about Chevelles after he bought the car though. I'm going to start giving it more attention now because it needs to be driven more often so I joined the site so I could learn the ins and outs about the car. Overall, its in decent shape. My brother in law just put discs on the front because it wasn't much fun to drive with 4 wheel drum. Motor is strong. My father and I rebuilt a 402 overbore block for it back in 96...the engine it came with had a crack in the block if I remember correctly (it wasn't the original block). I remember checking the casting numbers on the heads when we rebuilt it but I don't recall what they were.
