Welcome asphalt. I think a lot of us have similar stories. I eyed a used '69 Chevelle in high school but just couldn't swing it. Life happened then in 2004 I found my '70. Been poking at it for the last 16 years, a little here, a little there.

Going back a few years.. seems like yesterday but time goes by fast..after buying a car that Dad said I couldn't afford ( he was right ) never did drive it very much..spent all my money on buying the car never giving a thought that I still need to insure it an plate it not to mention even though gas was cheaper then but still takes money so the car didn't get drove much .. After highschool finally getting a good job was able to afford a paint job mistake on my part for letting a girlfriend picking a Jamaican blue...never did like the blue... Girlfriend didn't last but still still loved the car just not the blue...was time for a change so started taking the car apart for a new paint job... Little did I know that LIFE was about to change... Let's jump about 25 year's an start at the back...

Back then had just nicely taken the car apart for a new paint job had part's filling up the garage on every side. Had figured the job was going to be a little fun with very little body work to do an would be simple with everything off the car..sure most of you already know what I was going through... striping the car was the right way to go but so many pieces.. with the project in full swing looking like things are going as planned... WELL..life no pun intended...was about to change.. what I thought was important took a back seat... LIFE was starting inside my new girlfriend an priority has a new meaning. Car was on hold.. part's were stored away for a little bit. Had no idea that was going to be years of storage...as the back bumper show's.. thought it was history when I pulled it out looks pretty bad.. thanks to Mother's polish an a couple hundred rags...time was able to wipe away..
