Check out the AGR resto steering boxes, look like the original. Or you can get a billet one if you don't care about originality. They cost a little more than GC conversion but you can keep your original hoses and rag joint.

I'll have to dig up the part numbers for the Grand Cherokee swap... the only parts you need is metric adapters for your PS hoses, and a 3/4" x 30-spline rag-joint.

They don't have them listed on the site, but the best source for the parts is from Lee Manufacturing: http://lee-powersteering.com/index.htm

I've done numerous Jeep GC steering box conversions...
All 'ya need is a '94-98 GRAND CHEROKEE box, the two flare seat adapters from Lee Mfg, and I use a Dorman #200 rag joint from Advance Auto.
With the flare adapters, you can reuse your existing PS hoses.

Average price of a GC box from pick-a-part is $50
Flare adapters run about $12 with shipping
Rag Joint costs $30

Was it a nice improvement over the stock box. Would like to possibly autocross a bit with the car and still drive nice on the street. Thanks

IMO, a great improvement over the stock PS box.

I have one of the AGR quick ratio boxes. the non stock appearing one. Nice thing about them is they have a different T-bar than the stock or reman boxes even the ones with the same ratio. what you get for that is a "heavier" steering feel. not sluggish or anything, just not feather light. Mine along with the new suspension handles amazing and feels a lot like a new car. I also put in one of the high performance pumps from AGR at the same time. it all bolted up just like stock parts.

not cheap, but i highly recommend it!
