Default Hey Ray...

Concerning the intake gaskets as seen here...

What should I do with them? Just paint over them? Or carefully trim the excess with a razor blade, then paint?

Ray doesn't have internet access at the moment but I asked him about it. Gaskets were completely covered when the engine and intake were painted. Intake was installed before painting. If aluminum intake, which you don't have, then some over spray on the intake.

I would not use them that way. I used the ones that hide behind intake manifold in the front and rear and only show in the middle. I also used 496 exhaust gaskets because they hide behind the exhaust manifold and don't show. I had to drill the metric holes out some to make them work.

Check this tread out. http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=324679

I thought you were talking about the other Ray. No problem, this Ray has you covered. I didn't think the gaskets were the correct ones but I'm no expert.

Thanks for the feedback, I think I am just going to paint over them. I know the bolt heads need some paint as well.
