Default another engine code question

Hey everyone, finally got a chance to look thru some of the parts I got with my 65 chevelle project and had a question on one of the engines. Previous owner told me the 327 i got with car came out of a 65 corvette. I am just trying to figure out if thats actually the case. Not real sure where you look that stuff up. I will list the numbers, but is there anywhere you can get a book on the numbers? Well anyway, the number on the front right side of the block is F0929HF, rear of block is 3858174 and 11 85. The heads appear to be the old double hump heads, 2.02's???, they have 3782461 gm17 b11 6 b 7 6. I have not tore it down just yet to check out the cam, crank etcs. Anyway as always thanks so much for any and all help.

According to what I found, it is a 1965 327. The "HF" suffix is for a Corvette, 300 HP, manual transmission. Sounds like you have a great platform to start with. I would totally build it as an L79 clone. (Aka - 350 HP 327)
