Default Took the 71 Corvette out on the track yesterday

When out and beat on the 71 a little at Road Atlanta.

I was turning some mid to low 1:50 times around the track when I could get a clean lap, which in an automatic car that isn't designed for road racing, and was not being leaned on very hard in the corner (entry/exit) or braking zones, isn't too bad I guess.

Also, next time, move camera to new location! When I set up the GoPro my clip on track mirror did not consume so much real estate!

Might have hurt the transmission, again, as it was slipping lock up in 4th on the way home down the interstate.... Now the time comes, put a 5 speed in it or sell it and take the 7-8k it would cost to convert it and put it into a track car....

Looks like fun. We had a '73 vette years ago. 350 automatic. Not a 1/4 mile car but did handle and corner well, fun to drive.

3 months later I reply... Yeah, busy but not checking the Chevelle forums nearly as much as I did in years past. I have been more preoccupied with the Z06 and getting it ready for this year's racing schedule.

The 71 is still around, although has been in upgrade jail for a little over a year now.

The Chevelle is still around as well, although had been getting significantly less attention until the last few months. It too is getting some love.

The 496 is still alive and well! That motor belongs in a museum after all the abuse it has taken....

This is what it looks like at the moment. All new RideTech Air ride and Forgline wheels. I think I'm taking this on the first 1/2 of the Power Tour this year if all goes as planned.

That definitely a custom made core support on your 70. Nice work

The C3 was in Chevy High Peformance Magazine recently.
