Default 68 Chevelle Rear Quarter Section

Merry Christmas Everyone,

In the two attached photos DS/PS rear corners you can see what looks like a flange with holes, not rust holes, haha. When I bought the car it came with rear quarter replacement panels but somehow I think it's more of a patch panel vs true replacement panel. My panel does not have the ability to tie into the tail light mounting area if that makes sense. Does anyone have a photo of what that corner is supposed to look like? As you can see mine is a little beat up. What I think is that corner some how ties into the trunk filler panel?.

Thanks in advance!!

Out of the thousands I got of my car when I was doing it. This area was the most neglected for pics. These are the best to of that area I found. And i looked a long time LOL. That area is factory metal tho so it is how they were.
