Default Help me to decide

I picked up this car in Nov. and the rear tires are in need of replacement before I get her out. I've narrowed my selection to two tires, but would like to see if anyone can show me how their car sits with either of these two sizes on it. My car currently sits with BFG G-Force 275/50-15's, I want to get away from the 26" tall tire so I will either go with a BFG Radial TA 255/70 (29"dia.) or a TA 275/60 (28"dia.). I'm also going to an 8" rim either way, these 275's are a tad wide for the 7" rims that are on it now.

If you have any pics of your Chevelle with either of these tire sizes on it, please post them up!

Gary

This is supposedly a 255/70-15 in a BFG T/A. And I apologize for the huge photo but it is not mine.

Eric.
Thanks for the big pic, gives me a good close up. Any idea what width that rim is, it appears to be a 7", if so, I may keep the 7" on the rear if I go with the 255/70's

Not sure, but I would say probably 7" as well

Have you looked at any of the threads in the Tires and Rims forums ? Not sure if there is a lot of pics, but I know there are a few conversations on tire and rim sizes.

Here is a post that has a link in it that may help.

Sweet car Gary, very clean. I really like the look of the 275's width.

My vote is for 275/60-15's, I am very partial to them. And like the way they fit/look.
