Another update.
I got the wipers to work and not hit the glass hood...what a pain.
The gauges on the cowl fit perfect under the hood and the NOS purge line fits too. Installed the grill trim and found a licence plate from my stash. Also did the hood pins and cables for the clips. |

Its the closest thing to SHARP that the CA DMV had when it was ordered.
I think my wife had it on one of her cars back in the 70s 1970 was the first year of the blue plate in CA...69 and before were black. So since i dragged the car out here from CA when i moved...it gets a CA plate. |

Looks like I get to have my master cylinder rebuilt and replace a rubber power steering hose this winter. Got leaks on both.

Started whipping the hood into shape last week...
I had to fill in a few pin holes with the mig welder, then do some grinding to get those spots looking right. Skim coated it, starting sanding it a few days later. Haven't had time to touch it since. Both doors and the roof are all I have left to rough in. Then... I get to cut the driver's side quarter off and dig into that mess.
